Global warming require Clean & Green Mobility, shift from Fossil fuel to Electric Vehicles. Such shifting there will be create extra load on National Grid. Government making effort to increase the Grid capacity specially by  renewable energy sources. Public Charging Station in coming years  must have  some power as a “Captive Power generator” ( CPG) . There are more possibility, obligatory to Public Charging Stations as a CPG must have to provide  details &  compliance report  about such Renewable Purchase Obligation( RPO) to the Nodal Agency through it concerned DISCOM. Such Nodal agency then will issue the Renewable Energy Certificate ( REC) . Out of such renewable  (wind, Hydro, solar, Bio, Atomic)  solar power may be generated (limited scale) at Charging stations or procure from  far situated  renewable energy power generating company through the access of Grid . Some states have restriction to sale of Power out side the state. The  Power exchange through open access the .The Public Charging Stations requires is power is purchased through open access from other Power producer, then it ( PCS have to ) furnished periodically REC  to meet its RPO( proposed for PCS)

For a Public Charging Station as corporate consumer of solar power there are two ways to generate solar power (I) Onsite solar power plant ( limited version),which might be on rooftop, ground mount or carport solar installation. (II) Open access solar power ,consumption of solar power through the grid.

How Open access power works:

• Power generated at any Solar plant located in any state( if that state do not have restriction to sale of lower to another state) may be contracted to purchase through Open access through the existing grid infrastructure  and withdrawal  by  Public Charging Station  in any state. The Grid chargers  the transmission charges range Rs 1 to 1.5 per unit as carrier charges.
